Tom Mazanec here, on his second life (cats get nine, mongooses only two, so I better be careful).
Hit by SUV. Emergency people gave me even chances of dying.
Treasure life, you don’t know how much you have.

Walking? Or hit and a crash with another car?

Best wishes on recovery, TM

Yikes! How are you doing? Are you still
close to death?

Under the circumstances, let me take
this opportunity to thank you for all
the support you've given to this forum.
In particular, your years of work
posting links to important news articles
was extremely valuable, and appreciated
by everyone.

I hope that you're recovering well.

Top tier hematoma (that’s what worried the doctors so much).
Dislocated hip (that’ll keep me in rehab until Xmas at least).
Busted clavicle (opposite side as hip, so no matter how they turn me it hurts).
Tried to get into a top rehab facility but insurance said uh-uh, so I am in a more mediocre one.
I let my guardian handle the business end. Fortunately I was in the crosswalk with the signal, so that will make it easier. Grandma picking up grandkids got confused.
Thanks for the well wishes.
