The United States is teasing India with an alliance against Pakistan and China in order to convince Pakistan to pretend to be an ally of the United States while the United States cuts and runs from Afghanistan.

Obama wants desperately to get elected and he wants to keep the lid on in Afghanistan until after the election is over.

Obama plans on winning that election and then pulling out of Afghanistan even if it is a total defeat.

Obama is promising Pakistan a free hand in Afghanistan after the election in return for their help now to make it appear like the U.S. is winning diplomatically in Afghanistan before the elections.

Iraq was to be the epicenter of our bid to save the world from a rapid nuclearization of the Middle East and the obvious outcome which that portends. President Bush handed a chance to foster Iraq to him like a gift tied in nice pink ribbons, an expensive gift bought with precious American blood and voluminous treasure. So what does the the big O do? under no discernible pressure with no real competing concerns (except for his personal reelection of course), Obama stumbled bumbled and fumbled our one and only chance into oblivion.

How poignant that the heir to the throne of Saudi Arabia dies as Obama wastes our chances to foster democracy in the Middle East; one can almost see the situation develop like a horror story unfolding page by page in the daily news.

After this, I wouldn't put your scenario for Afghanistan past Obama.
