Terror and protest on both left and right, mostly based in false to fact ideas or ideals that never existed in the real world. Chaos is the logical result.

So many false ideas - people tell me quite often that the US government is more powerful and controlling than it ever has been. So they apparently believe a government that allows itself to be pushed around by a conquered country, afraid to raise taxes or cut budgets, afraid of terrorist criminals and unable to command a draft while fighting two wars is more powerful than a government that backed down the USSR with the threat of nuclear war, that conducted dozens of above ground nuclear tests and damn the protestors, that kept a draft going for decades against public opposition, and occupied Japan without a hint of regret. Perhaps so, but I don't agree.
