There are so many things that could blow the lid off in Greece that it's impossible to list them all. A very likely scenario would be a politician in a tight race who is against taking any more loans and is for dropping out of the EURO. Imagine the responses in Europe and Greece if you ran this ad:

Goose stepping cartoon German marches into the Greek Presidential palace yelling these orders,"YOU VILL MAKE BOND PAYMENTS. YOU VILL NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE. THE ELDERLY MAY STARVE, THE CHILDREN MAY GO HUNGRY, VE DO NOT CARE. VE ARE YOUR MASTERS AND YOU MUST OBEY". Cut to your politician who says "You can have more of this, or you can vote for me. Leave the EURO, save the helpless, or starve under German domination. Make your choice.".

This would cause the whole thing to go up in flames overnight. And somebody will do it. It may be a while longer, but someone will do this or something similar, and then it all blows up.

That's true, but for today at least, the "Kick the Can Theory" is operating in full force.
