Personally, I expect China's new military budget to be around 105 billion, based on how much it has increased in the past. Even on a PPP basis, that would be 168 billion. Then since their real military budget is considerably higher than that, I would put it at around 250-300 billion in comparison to ours.

As for the Dow Jones, isn't this what usually happens in the buildup to a financial collapse? Most people are celebrating and the few people who know it can't last are blown off as alarmist. Thankfully, I don't have anything in the stock market.

Not everything is bad news today. India expects record wheat harvests.

The irrationality of the terrorist groups is growing daily. "Your great grandparents didn't like Jews, therefore, you hate Muslims" is obviously very flawed logic, if it even deserves the label "logic".
