If Russia winds up at war with Iran, then that will be the trigger for Iran to jump into bed with Uncle Sam. (Ok, now breathe through your nose, get that picture out of your head - LOL.) That would cause things to line up with John's prediction that we'd be Iran's ally in a future WWIII. However, Russia and Iran would doubtless put aside their differences if war with China broke out.

A war in the Caucasus might well cause the Chinese govt to attempt some bold expansion moves, under cover of the distraction such a war would provide.

It is fortunate the activist members of these groups generally aren't well educated or wealthy, it is just not that difficult to obtain poisons or high energy chemicals. OTOH, as John has said, most suicide bombers don't kill anyone but themselves. There is a built in reluctance to actually pull the trigger, thank goodness.

But anarchy on the rise is not good news for any society, even though it's only to be expected at this time.
