Well, Libya was an easy country for intervention. NATO had little chance of losing and a war in Libya had little chance of spilling over anywhere else. Not only is Syria's defenses more formidable, but if anyone intervenes, Assad will likely try to unite his country by launching a war against Israel. Although it's possible that intervention may happen, I find it unlikely, and covert operations probably won't be enough.

The way things are looking when it comes to the Middle East for WWIII, it seems like the Shi'ite countries are going to end up siding with us and the Sunni nations will side with China.
