Been too busy to comment the last few days so here goes.

It will be interesting to see if Syria sides with Russia or with Iraq or goes with China in the next world war.

I wonder what is supposed to happen when we all "lose patience" with Syria? Another nasty memo?

I could see lowering the retirement age as more of a stimulus than giving money to banks or cutting taxes on the wealthy, given the circumstances in which we find ourselves, with an excess of production but a shortage of demand. Retiring workers earlier would open more jobs and they'll actually spend the money for real goods, not just hide it. Of course, the question then becomes, "where does the money come from?". Somehow, that isn't asked very much when the banks are the beneficiaries. Curious, that. I suppose if the retirees gave 10% to the politicial election process as a sort of tithe, then it wouldn't be asked in that case, either.
