Anyone who tries to take a moral stand on any issue will be persecuted at this time. This is hardly limited to France. Those who have no morals are always angry at those who do. I'm not speaking of moral disagreement here, I'm speaking of those with no moral compass at all.

Bagdhad is angry that the Kurds are making deals to sell oil to Turkey.

And that's part and parcel of why I think the Iraqi government will soon change. We imposed on them the "ideal" government of an unravelling, so fragmented that it can't decide anything or enforce anything, and that just will not work for people in an awakening, with millions alive who are still fearful of Iran due to their last war. And btw, the Western press reports out of here stink, these guys just sit around their compound and retype government handouts. Both the US military and the Iraqi government strongly encourage this, but it's hardly the way to get a real story.

Turkey bombs the Kurds one day, and buys oil from the Kurds the next day. Go figure.

Whether or not something qualifies as a civil war seems to be whether or not it suits someone politically. Either it's "this is proof that America is evil" or "this shows that Muslims are nothing but a bunch of mindless savages." I noticed on BigPeace that many are STILL predicting a civil war in Iraq, since there have been something like 2,000 deaths so far this year.
