Well, based on the news, most people are expecting this war to continue even if Assad stands down. Course, I don't think that will be for a while yet and since he's getting desperate, there's no telling just what he's going to do.

Speaking of the Arab Spring, one thing I'm trying to figure out is Yemen's timeline. There's nothing in this current uprising to suggest a crisis war. I fail to see any kind of explosive climax or major structural change that would indicate that. If anything, this looks to be like an awakening era climax, with the younger generations forcing Yaleh to stand down. I think the crisis war might be the North Yemen Civil War in the 1960's, but this is going to require a lot more research.
