Israel is being pushed to war because that's what the Syrian government (and Iran) wants, to take the attention off them. This is not going to go well for anyone. Horrible potential for turning into the first shots of WWIII. The only good thing about it is that world attention is always focussed on Israel and its actions, so they'll be under pressure to not escalate into a spreading war.

The rise of extremism in Germany is easily connected to the distaste for the funding of the constant bailouts. Odd how that works really, because the influence they gain over the southern countries is exactly what Germany has wanted for generations, and is normally a goal of the far right in Germany.
