Bill O'Reilly does news? When did he stop doing a commentary/editorialist entertainment show? We live in strange times.

I seldom watch TV "news" as I catch them in too many errors of fact, but Fox is most certainly not the most reliable news source. I catch CNN in factual errors, MSNBC more often, and Fox continually. However, I must also admit, that most of the "news" on MSNBC and Fox is not news per se, it's opinion delivered in a news format. CNN is trending in that direction strongly in the last couple of years. It's unfortunate that people prefer misinformation that reinforces their incorrect views over unpleasant fact.

As far as Israel/Palestine goes, I stand by what I said here a few days ago. Which is one of those sets of unpleasant facts. Facts are neither liberal nor conservative, they are just there. I can't see any way this coming genocidal war could have been averted, save perhaps by creating Israel inside the United States, back in 1945. There's certainly enough US federal land in Texas or Arizona to swallow Israel five times over. Israel is 22,000 sq km, Federal land in Nevada alone amounts to over ten times that, about 240,000 sq km.

Gold and silver coins issued by the US mint are currency, you'll have no trouble spending any of them you please, at face value. The problem comes in when people insist that a coin with a face value of 20$ is worth much more - which is like insisting the post office pay you 50,000$ because you mailed an envelope with a rare stamp by mistake. Besides which, attempting to segregate money into "good" and "bad" money has been illegal for something like a century and a half now.
