At $100/barrel that is $29.65 trillion dollars worth of oil. The US national debt is $14.56 trillion. If the cost to get that oil out of the ground is $50/barrel, then the profits could pay off the US national debt. Got to wonder if, after WW3, the US is going to end up holding Venezuela.
