Hi John,
I've just realized that living in the Boston area you're right in the path of hurricane Irene.
I hope you were able to move out of town before its arrival and that you and your family are safe somewhere.
Even though I don't usually post comments I still read your posts every day. Thank you for all the work and research you do. I don't always agree with you but I surely learn a lot from you.

Thanks for thinking of me Raymonde. I haven't gone anywhere. I'm
just sitting here in front of my computer, as usual, in my apartment
in Cambridge, watching the Charles River, and wondering if it's going
to overflow onto Memorial Drive, which would be a real mess. I'm on
the ninth floor of my apartment building, so I'm not afraid of getting
wet myself, but I am afraid of a power failure which, of course, would
make it impossible to access the internet, which would be a true
disaster.

What's really bothering me is that when the gusts reach 70 mph or so,
I hear banging sounds. I assume that those sounds are from missiles
hitting the side of the building. A slightly different trajectory
could send them through a window. It's scary.
