Sounds more like a cherry bomb than a firecracker to me, if it took off two fingers.

These movements without a focus will eventually jell, and they'll probably jell around some idea of more social planning and less "business will take care of all" philosophy. That's what generally happens historically, and of course the critical point is whether or not balance is included in the final equation. Greece obviously chose terrific imbalance on the side of the people, the US seems highly imbalanced on the side of the multinational corporations. (50 years old retirement for musicians due to standing on their feet too much vs unlimited corporate money spent on political advertising and no controls or even reporting requirements on the other - both are obviously out of whack with any kind of balanced or equitable social equation.) Eventually the politicians start running scared, and whatever new social norm is found will be the new "normal" to be slowly torn down for the next 80 years, barring intervention by the singularity of course.
