Justin Bieber wins artist of the year, favorite pop/rock album and best pop/rock artist at the American Music Awards. Carly Rae Jepsen was named best new artist.

His performance at AMA

Two years ago he premiered "Pray" at this show.

(edit) Bieber has said that what he really wants to win is the Grammys (he's been nominated but not won yet). Not that I think much of any of these awards; only the most popular artists ever win them. But I still like it that I like the artist that won the AMA awards.

Yet they're all horrible without autotune. I'm starting to wonder with your obsessive love and sucking up to Bieber if you work for his record company.

"There have always been people who say: "The war will be over someday." I say there's no guarantee the war will ever be over. Naturally a brief intermission is conceivable. Maybe the war needs a breather, a war can even break its neck, so to speak. But the kings and emperors, not to mention the pope, will always come to its help in adversity. ON the whole, I'd say this war has very little to worry about, it'll live to a ripe old age."

When are you guys going to post some positive comments on Bieber here? I mean really, get over it! Your poor taste just oozes from these pages! Some of you even say you like One Direction and the Backstreet Boys. Bieber is so obviously superior to them, and all the other current pop artists in the bargain. I'm starting to wonder too; I don't know who you are sucking up to, or if it's just jealousy; but sometime you're gonna have to "face the music" and give the guy credit. But meanwhile, say whatever you want. It's actually pretty hilarious! I think it's so funny that people are obsessed with knocking Justin Bieber. The most hates on a music video that ever will be. Just funny!

And these "autotune" comments really get old!

Boy, I'd love to work for his record company! Talk about easy money! I sure wouldn't need to post comments here, do ya think?? Huh?! Scooter Braun is a genius. I mean, he gets Cody Simpson and Carly Rae Jepsen to sing Owl City's "Good Time" at Justin Bieber's Believe concerts. Now, that is a line-up to dream about!

Yeah it is. Anytime someone just clicks on your posted URL's you get paid. That's how tracking cookies work. It doesn't matter if that person soon discovers they've been duped into listening to a cacophony. Even if they hastily close the browser window or use the back arrow, it's too late. The tracking cookie is there. For it matters not if they listened for a nanosecond or the whole thing.

I dunno; I must not be getting paid much. Most people here aren't even willing to listen. Their opinions on JB are already pre-formed, and are not open to change. So why would they click the link?

If everyone already has their opinions of Bieber than why must you always force him down everyones throat?

I did listen to JB; including every link you posted. I have tried to like him in order to better understand the Millennials. I simply do not like JB's vocal stylings. The more I hear them, in fact, the less I like them. That is the opposite of how it is supposed to work too. Theoretically, the more one listens, the more likely the song is to be internalized. That never happened with JB. His vocals annoy me and grate on my ears, even though you enjoy them.

It's wonderful that you enjoy JB, and find a positive message in his music. Not everyone is going to feel that way, no matter how incomprehensible that may be to you.

Give me some 3T Xer music anytime. I play 3T Xer music all of the time. And I am not an Xer.

Why do you think I'm doing that?

If you don't want to read this thread, don't click on it.

All I did before your recent post about what you're "starting to think," was report on his success at AMA. I guess you expect me not to reply. But hey, this is a discussion board.

Actually Rags, yes, I am getting paid. L.A. Reid called me up, and gave me a Def Jam Records contract to post links to JB exclusively on The Fourth Turning website. And that even included clicks on the Justin Bieber thread itself. In fact, he gave me an extra bonus just for having started the thread on my own.

But you know what, he looked at the results, and last month he cancelled the contract. It just did not result in any revenue for his company.

So now, I'm not being paid at all. I guess you just have to realize that Bieber is not going away, based on my report above. He is still just as popular after 3 years, and he wins awards and makes good records. You might just have to admit that he's good someday.

I don't know if I'm ready to make that an actual prediction. And you all know how good my predictions are. But I already have predicted that Bieber will remain a star and make great music for years to come. He is still fulfilling that one.

Meanwhile, go on enjoying your lousy 3T Xer music. Go on knocking JB. You're missing out. And that's OK.

A farewell JB concert plays as the world collapses into a black hole; or whatever the scenario du jour may be? Everyone sits around the final fire and alternates renditions of "Kumbaya" with a medley of JB offerings?

I would prefer R.E.M. End Of The World As We Know It but at that critical moment, a person may have to set aside their personal preferences, and make peace with JB.

Well j.p., you said before you don't like him because you don't like pop music, it's not your cup of tea. But that can't be true, you even started a thread about it. A bit strange or disingenuous, I'd say. Or as I said, you mind is made up. A very common condition around here. Peoples minds are made up about everything. That's pretty much true of me as well as you. Oh well.....

I like the R.E.M. song. Or you could "party like it's 3012 tonight." (words from JB's latest single Beauty and a Beat in case you didn't know)

Just a reminder FWIW Wayne, "vocal style" seems to be the main consideration for you. I don't claim JB is the best pop vocalist necessarily (I can hear flaws in his delivery at times); but he brings out the feeling and beauty of the songs he sings. For me the main consideration is the quality of the songs, meaning primarily the melody, sound and arrangements. JB and his team just have no peer in that right now, in my well-considered opinion.

As the network news reporters said, "Bieber fever is alive and well!" and I'm glad. (and you guys can't deny it!)

Here's to all the haterz:

"This is for all the haters, who thought that maybe I was just here for 1 or 2 years, but I feel I'm going to be here for a very long time" Yeah, take that you guys!

(what he said after winning an AMA award)

I did not start a thread about pop music - I started a thread about new 4T music - and I was very clear in my initial post that it is open for any genre of music. And it is true that I do not like the majority of pop music (New Wave excepted).

Hey, as someone said, this is my temple to JB, so please when you enter, sprinkle yourself with holy water and show some respect.

As Oprah says, Justin Bieber seems to be everywhere these days. How do you suppose this happened?

He is always so fabulously entertaining when he does interviews. There are so many. A lot of times the host tries to embarrass him. One prankster to another.

David Letterman does the best job of making him feel uncomfortable. Of course, I'll post that if people want me to. But I doubt that will happen.

Yes. See how well my uraninite crystals work. Perhaps Badger will reconsider her position on woo-woo now. Notice that I never panned astrology , tarot cards, etc. I mean if I can get uraninite to work for me, then it stands to reason that other stuff would work for other. I think this was more of a case of curiosity on Dave's part. He came, he listened, he puked. But hey, you did get click(s) from Dave from the process.
