I am hoping that the new forum will also be good.

Yes. Howe is killing this forum as of Sunday May 15th. Several people have developed alternate sites and are busy importing files from here to there. There is a sticky thread here.

I had just found it as you posted. Thanks. It looks like the 4TF is going to do a little sub-dividing. Shame.

Dan 82 created a new forum. You'll find his post with the announcement and the link in the closing announcement thread. Hope to see you there.

This thing's ending like some oversubscribed keggers do, in an ugly fight.

I see various Xers who whether they realize it or not are Red Boomer Mini Mes suddenly acting out here.

Some really vile stuff being spewed.

I'm not proud to be an Xer just now.

At the moment I'd rather be associated with Millies, against all temporal logic and biological reality!

Thanks, but I don't think so.
It's like when ABC cancelled All My Children. People cried and protested and the show resurfaced in an online format. But that didn't last, either. It's time had come.

Doesn't your username say 84 though? I thought you were born in 1984?

Secret decoder ring ....

(Clan of) Xymox - an excellent (IMO) early Gothic band

4AD - the band's initial label

84 - 1984, the year I could legally obtain and consume alcohol, go to age restricted clubs / venues, etc.

So you were close on my cohort - 1963.

I put the 98 in my username because I was born in 1998, so I see where I was confused with yours. I thought you did the same.

I always thought that 1984 was the year you graduated college, and I took you for a 1962 cohort. Close, though.

I have decided that I probably won't be joining the new thread, but I want to wish everyone good luck in the future! Hopefully we've all learned something here that will get us through the new crisis.

But, but, you're supposed to report back and let us know WTF is going on with Japan in the saeculum!
Those words, "temperate and moderate", are words either of political cowardice, or of cunning, or seduction. A thing, moderately good, is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper, is always a virtue; but moderation in principle, is a species of vice.

I have learned a lot about the country and the underlying politics as well. It seems like you guys get all the underground information and just talk about it.

Even though I have not been on here for a very long time, I have enjoyed the conversations that have been made.
Also, can someone post the weblink to the new 4t forum?
