I wasn't certain where to post this, as I have been gone for nearly four years.

I do want to say that I am unspeakably sad that this Forum is shutting down. The Fourth Turning book, Strauss and Howe's theory, have been a major influence in my life for the past nineteen years. Through their work, I was able to make sense out of a seemingly nonsensical society and world, and my place within it. I wish to thank Neil personally for keeping the Forum alive over these many years, despite the many challenges of maintaining a safe place for the free exchange of ideas that this place has been.

I am very much looking forward to reading Neil's new book next year. Who knows? If it takes off the way Generations and The Fourth Turning did, perhaps there will be a brand new Forum to accompany it?

So, for now, this is apparently goodbye. My parting message is of best wishes and happiness for all of you, most especially the many friends I've made here since 1999. Perhaps, however, this is not the last farewell, but only for now, and we shall meet again.

Take care.
