-Now at $2.299/gallon. Hmph.
Has OPEC actually started cutting production yet, or are they just continuing to sell at the summer rates?

When I left Washington State for Virginia last Wednesday regular gas was $2.789.
Upon my return, it was down to $2.399!!!!

Gas here is down to $1.99 now. At least this depression has been good for something - so far.

Now gas is down to $1.97, with some stations charging only $1.95.
I'm loving this cheap gas, I was almost broke today, and only had like 2 bucks, and got enough gas to get home. Only paid $1.75 a gallon. Theres some places in Cincy that are only charging $1.65 a gallon.
-Now [18 NOV] at $1.809/gallon; I'm sure it was still $2.039/gallon last night...
I just filled up at the North Fourth Chevron for $1.989 per gallon. And had my car washed as well; but the cheapest wash was $4 unless you bought more than 8 gallons. And didn't seem to have an air-dry at the end. You win some, you lose some.
But I saw an old Prime Time in the veterinarian's office, dated August this year, in which a man comments that at least a gallon of beer is still reasonably priced. How quickly things change!
Earlier, at work, my boss commented on how people were lined up at the pumps with the gas at $4.00+ (when there was any), but now, with gas under $2.00, very few people seem to want much gas. Of course, with most people driving a lot less nowadays because of Neo-Depression hunkering down,...
Lucky punks. We've got gas still at 24.5r/L
That's $3.38/gal at today's rate. That price is unchanged from almost a year ago -- the only thing that's brought it out of the 4/gal range is the slipping of the ruble recently.
But Finland's still like twice as expensive for basically the exact same thing, and one of our vendor reps from England just said that gas is about the same price there as Finland. So I guess it could be worse...

I can't figure out why gas is so cheap while oil is still $58/bbl.
-Now [22 NOV] at $1.759/gallon.
Lots of variation in my neck of the woods. On Wednesday, I saw gas selling at $1.999 in Falls Church at a Sunoco and a Shell. However the BP nearby was selling at $2.399. Most nearby stations are selling around $2.059.

For the first time since 2004, gas is edging down below $2. My neighborhood station is selling petrol for $1.999/2.099/2.199.
I'm now beginning to wonder if gas'll continue to drop to the neighborhood of ONE dollar per gallon. This should be good news... however in light of other recent developments, like the pending bankruptcy of the auto industry, it strikes me as ominous.

$1.67 today in Indiana--could be the lowest in the country at this time.
I've heard tell of $1.64 in some parts of Tennessee outside of Nashville. If this keeps up, we may be back down to the price when Dubya was sworn in his first time by the time Obama is sworn in.
The lowest I've seen (and I had to have a full tank at the time) was $1.479/$1.579/$1.679 for the three grades. I couldn't believe it so I drove past the actual pumps, and the prices were the same there.
Amazing!

I havent seen a gas station in a couple weeks here in Santa Cruz, because my fuel efficient car is currently operating on only two gears so I only drive it to and from work, and the route I take is through residential neighborhoods which have no gas stations. Im also centrally located and just about anything I need is walkable. Anyway, I havent put gas in my tank in a couple weeks, but last time I did it was about $2.20 I think. So after reading the latest posts in this thread, I became curious about local prices and asked a co-worker and was told that we're currently down to approximately $1.89 here! I never thought I'd ever see gas under 2 bucks again. Thing is, Im not gonna bother filling up since I still have just under half a tank and have no plans on driving my car for the rest of the week after today. Im moving outta state at the end of the weekend and I know that where Im moving to, it's about 30 cents cheaper. I'll fill up then!
-Now [30 NOV] at $1.659/gallon.
