To summarize, those who dissent seek to voice an opinion, while those who commit treason knowingly inflict damage on their own society.
So when does David Bonior go on trial?

according the definition of treason we're working with here, a traitor is one who "knowingly inflict[s] damage on their own society". let's see.... they apparently (according to the article you posted the link to):

went to iraq....

"said the Bush administration should give weapons inspections a chance to work before taking any military action"....

"suggested that the sanctions..... led to the starvation and malnutrition of Iraqi children, and the death of 50,000 annually"....

"said that U.S. and British airplanes have been bombing illegitimate targets"....

"said that he thought 'the president would mislead the American people' in order to justify action on Iraq"....

which part of that is known to inflict damage to our society? it may inflict "damage" (in the metaphorical sense) to the administration's policy, but that's part and parcel of politics. no, i'm talking about real damage, on par with espionage or sabotage, to our society. i think it's a bit overzealous to claim that is what happened here.

Wisdom at Faux News? I think not.

One man's patriot is another man's traitor.

By the way, never trust anyone who uses the word "Democrat" as an adjective; i.e, "Democrat wars." The proper term is "Democratic." TG

Gore?s TV War: He Lobs Salvo At Fox News
by Josh Benson

Among the many problems facing the Democratic Party, according to former Vice President Al Gore, is the state of the American media.

"The media is kind of weird these days on politics, and there are some major institutional voices that are, truthfully speaking, part and parcel of the Republican Party," said Mr. Gore in an interview with The Observer. "Fox News Network, The Washington Times, Rush Limbaugh?there?s a bunch of them, and some of them are financed by wealthy ultra-conservative billionaires who make political deals with Republican administrations and the rest of the media ?. Most of the media [has] been slow to recognize the pervasive impact of this fifth column in their ranks?that is, day after day, injecting the daily Republican talking points into the definition of what?s objective as stated by the news media as a whole."

(ii) You are the nation that permits Usury, which has been forbidden by all the religions. Yet you build your economy and investments on Usury. As a result of this, in all its different forms and guises, the Jews have taken control of your economy, through which they have then taken control of your media, and now control all aspects of your life making you their servants and achieving their aims at your expense; precisely what Benjamin Franklin warned you against.

Ah, well, I guess it's just all about perception.

Netanyahu and his supporters went on to complain about his treatment in the media. "I am honestly very worried by the poll results," said Likud MK Yuval Steinitz. He quickly went on the offensive, however, blaming the Israeli media and pollsters for "conspiring" to bury Netanyahu, a former prime minister who led Sharon in polls only a few months ago. Shai Bazak and Ofir Akonis, who are vying for places on the Likud?s Knesset list, said in interviews Wednesday that the media was discriminating against Netanyahu, and was widely reporting every failed step of Netanyahu?s campaign.
