Somewhat humorous personality test I ran into.

I'm AEIOU

Moral Absolutist
Egoist (Introvert)
Intellectual
Optimist
Übermensch

Moral absolutists believe in an absolute moral structure, usually based upon a religion or a dubious belief-system such as Freudianism and Marxism. They are apt to use phrases such as "It's only right!"

Egoists perform best in individual endeavors such as the arts, in which it is imperative that one consciousness grasp the whole undertaking. They also relate everything you say in terms of events in their own lives, no matter how remote the connection.

Intellectuals approach problems with thought, but can't even eat a sandwich without telling you about some book you never read.

Optimists believe the universe tends toward progress, and usually carry themselves in a happy manner that is especially irksome to pessimists.

Übermenschen ("overmen") have overcome self-doubt, and do whatever they do confidently; they are the leaders of the team if Team-Players, and often are blazingly original minds if Egoists. Masters of themselves, they refuse to be dominated by (or even interested in the lives of) other people.
To recommend thrift to the poor is both grotesque and insulting. It is like advising a man who is starving to eat less.

Well, I find myself in good company...........sort of! Examples from history include Mao-Tse-Tung and Genghis Khan.

Relativists believe that morals are relative to a situation, and can rarely make expedient business decisions, or even decide where to have dinner.
Team players function best in a team environment, but they may or not be leaders (See Übermensch). Team Players may be sheep who hide their mediocrity in the crowd.

Feelers respond emotionally and immediately, and do not tend to filter experience through their logical faculties. Feelers want their feelings affirmed, and understood, but rarely analyzed, especially by intellectuals, and certainly not be Absolutist Intellectuals.

Fun test!

I don't know if I've ever actually said my Myers-Briggs in the thread yet, but I'm an -NFJ (I go back and for between E and I). And I'm an '88 cohort Millie.

I have way too much fun taking personality quizzes.

Looks like I'm an

Absolutist
Team-Player
Feeler
Optimist
Ubermensch

ATFOU

I'd agree on all except "Feeler". The key question producing this result, I believe, was #8 "Do you prefer cold, abstract ideas to friendly people?". To which I answered "No". I got out of the Physics Department in college in 1981 because I realized I preferred applied, practical ideas to cold, abstract ones. But while I'll admit to being sentimental about certain places and faces, and that I enjoy having a spirited discussion at a bar... I am most certainly not one dominated by his "feelings" (nothing more than... Feelings!").

It does seem that this test isn't intended to be serious... so, like, whatever! It's always fun to take these quizzes for sheer entertainment value.

A test Eric may like:

You Are From Uranus

You shine with brilliant creativity, and you're more than a little eccentric.
You love everything unusual and shocking. You're one far-out chick or dude.
Anything unconventional excites you - and you have genius potential.
Just don't let your rebel side get the best of you, or else you'll alienate everyone.
Your original thinking and funky attitude is all you need to be you.

I can't say about the rest, but you are in the right place to be an INTP - the dominant type on this site.

I took the test about 14 years ago; I'm INTP. Somewhere on the 4TF, someone claimed (I forget who, where or when, and I am not searching thru' 50+ pages of crap) that Civic Heroes tilt NT (I'm a 1966 Xer). Was the poster just guessing, or is there any data on this? I'd imagine Reactive Nomads as SJs, but I'M JUST GUESSING.

I discover to my overwhelming joy that I am now a "Senior Member"; I can hardly wait to go back home to collect my prize. What do I have to do to make "Master Member"?

H-m-m-m. By posts, our most Senior Member is at 9,308 and holding. It has to be more than that.

It looks like our Child of Socrates will probably be the first poster to break 10K, since HC has largely been inactive as of late.

I see that I'm in the Top 10, having surpassed Stonewall Patton.

The Wonkette : Total Posts: 3,891 (2.04 posts per day)
Odin : Total Posts: 1,774 (4.60 posts per day

Ohhh... An algebra problem.

x = f(Total posts) Wonkette - Odin = 2117
y = f(Posts per day) Odin - Wonkette = 2.56

x/y = 826.95 days until Odin suprasses Wonkette.

N.B.Selection of Odin was done due to random locating of prolific posters...
MBTI step II type : Expressive INTP

There's an annual contest at Bond University, Australia, calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term:
The winning student wrote:

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end."

Yikes! Sean will surpass me in 235 days. That's about 8 months, or next June.

That's assuming that he doesn't peter out. Lots of these young 'uns post very prolifically for a few months, then move on. Meanwhile, the top posters are mostly in their 40s or 50s, with the exception of Justin '77 and HC 68 (who is 39). Mr. Reed is the only Millie who has consistently posted for a long time...

I've slowed down a bit, lately. The rapidity of my early posting was mainly because of me looking through and posting on old threads.
