Now wait a minute. You're moving the goal posts here. Your original statement was about "unwanted children.'' Now you're talking about "out of wedlock births." They are not one and the same. Plenty of those kids were wanted.

I don't know how one would measure the number of "unwanted" children without interviewing every single person that's had a child over the last 40-50 years.

You know, Kiff, you take your moniker after a guy who got put to death by a government who didn't have any limits on the "Will of the People". You might want to mull that over.

Right. Now you understand my statement "Right. They're all Bohemians."

And out of wedlock is a bad way to go, even if voluntary. But most aren't, and saying otherwise is disingenuous

Blech.
I never saw the movie, but it's about a mafia guy.

Perhaps I owe Kaiser an apology on the violence aspect, but he seems a bit stuck on himself

What other creep?

I don't disagree. I just don't think that providing medical care to the poor is particularly egregious in the grand scheme of things.

On the public forum, sure.

But I don't think she should be spreading people's PMs around, and I don't think you should have posted it here, either. They were intended as private communications.

Unsustainable is egregious. As Ron Paul pointed out, we did well (maybe better) without it.

Considering he was a doctor at the time, he'd probably know more about it than you, don't you think?

A creep who DID make comments about how he'd like to see me (and others) dead.
Those posts were removed by the webmaster, but JDG likes to dig them up from time to time.
Sometimes I agree with JDG, sometimes I don't. But if he's posting death threats, you really should do something.

Looks like Kaisers going over the line. The Webmaster should know.

Edit: Done, wrt to both Kaiser and JDG.

Very weak dodge.

They have provided no credible or rational rebuttal. With your ignorance, I would expect the same from you.

Calm down.

Your argument isn't valid to those who think that there are two persons in there, not one, as some of those with a religious perspective do.

The problem is using religion, as Kiff did, to buttress an argument (government welfare), but getting upset if people use it for another (abortion). I don't agree with either one...
You're not getting it. The basis of your argument is that religious liberals are hypocrites for turning a blind eye to abortion while fighting for better government services. And I say they know intrinsically even if they cannot articulate clearly that they are not the same because violating a woman's body to "protect" something fundamentally a part of it does not equate to autonomous individuals getting together to figure out how to protect other autonomous individuals within a society. If you understood the difference between a woman's body and society, you would have not have made that polemic.

Best...

It is tacky to spread PMs around but in all fairness, if someone sent me a death threat via PM, I wouldn't worry about manners--I would report it to the webmaster and probably call that person out in public too.

No, I said that caring for the poor is not a uniquely Christian value. In fact, I pushed for assistance to the poor long before I ever became a Christian.

So it is about Bible verses.
I don't think so. It's about the principle of the Golden Rule.
