Well, I do forget things on occasions.

For example, I occasionally forget that O'care dead enders like yourself, the ones with heavily-subsidized employer-based insurance, are really upset that the 'little people' might use a healthcare service that should only be available to themselves. You know, hypocritical elitist a-holes like PrinceofPricks67.

Fortunately, however, you remind me and I'm back to my know-it-all status. Thanks!

Sad, Dead Ender clown, very sad -

You mean letting people and institutions figure something out instead of it being addressed and remedied by a one-size fits all federal regulatory approach??? That's just silly.

Nope, according to the O'care dead enders, any problems remaining in the world (e.g. failure to colonize Mars, Middle East Peace, Justin Bieber) are a direct result of the failings of the ACA -- and some of these dead enders are on record as professing their Libertarian bonofides. Too funny.

Mitch 2014! Another O'Care Dead Ender Clown?

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewir...caid-expansion

60% Of KY GOPers Buck McConnell, Support Medicaid Expansion

A solid majority of Kentucky Republicans support the state's decision to expand Medicaid under Obamacare, according to a new poll, standing in stark contrast to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's opposition to the provision.

The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky poll, reported by NPR-affiliated WFPL, found that 60 percent of self-identified Republicans said they support expansion. In total, 79 percent of Kentuckians agree with Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear's decision to expand coverage to low-income people under the health care reform law.

In a statement to WFPL, McConnell spokesman Robert Steurer dismissed the findings.

"Most new Obamacare enrollees are not on private plans, but are added to the state’s struggling Medicaid program," he said, "where one hundred percent of these costs will be picked up by taxpayers and where there is already a shortage of physicians accepting Medicaid patients."

More than 120,000 Kentuckians have enrolled in Medicaid through the state's Obamacare website since it launched in October, according to Beshear's office, though that number includes some people who were previously eligible for the program.

The poll, conducted from Oct. 25 to Nov. 26 by the Policy Research Center at the University of Cincinnati and funded by the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, surveyed 1,551 adults. It has a margin of error of 2.5 percent.
I can think of a few things that would be sweeter justice than Obamacare's Medicaid Expansion taking out "the Turtle" in 2014, but it will do, it will do.

I pretty much laid out an answer to that on a different thread that my name was dragged into. I'm sure you saw it by now since you are posting on that thread yourself. If not, here is the link where you can get started -

If you still have trouble with this, come back and I'll explain it to you.

Oh man, Mr. Playwrite. I seriously thought we were just playing-around.

You see, those "insults"(eg: "don't mess with the bull....", "show (the) dick some respect",
"big fuckin' joke", etc.), are lines between John Bender and Richard "Dick" Vernon from
the movie: The Breakfast Club.

Personally, I have no problem with you insulting me,
but it appears that other people do, so for that reason,
I'll stop responding to any of your posts. Like I said, I
thought we were just having fun.

Anyway, you may want to consider using a little more discretion i/r/t
the people that go for the 'cut-down' sort of thing. That's all, really.

And FWIW, I did really like this 'prince of cats'-graphic you found.

So, that's that.

I don't have any "trouble" with it at all. Just wondering. See, it appears to me that you do a lot of background work on the material that you present, and obviously you have a high level of intelligence, and above-average ability to articulate a position.

But being drawn into simple-minded name-calling just isn't very flattering to oneself. I hope that as you age you can see how counter-productive that sort of thing is.

On the other hand, really witty sarcasm, and Winston Churchill-style insults can be great fun. You could try that instead?

Just curious -- how old do you think Playwrite is? I understand him to be an Aquarian Boomer, which would put him in his 7th decade.

I'll tell you one thing: I'd rather be called names than have philosophical positions imputed to me that I just plain don't hold - a practice I have been subjected to myriads of times on here.
But maybe if the putative Robin Hoods stopped trying to take from law-abiding citizens and give to criminals, take from men and give to women, take from believers and give to anti-believers, take from citizens and give to "undocumented" immigrants, and take from heterosexuals and give to homosexuals, they might have a lot more success in taking from the rich and giving to everyone else.

Don't blame me - I'm a Baby Buster!

Perhaps it's my age, or perhaps it's my age plus not living with the InterWeb for most of my life, but ... once I caught on to the ways of discussion forums, it really doesn't matter much what people say about me in any sense.

Folks can impute philosophical positions on me or call me names. I just move on to the next comment. This forum has a higher level of seemingly good info than most. And even some of the arguments can be very entertaining - see for example Mikebert vs. Vandal - what a hoot, eh? But anyone that takes it personal ... well ...

And for those doing the imputing or the name-calling ... seems to me it says more about them than the imputee or the callee

I see name calling and put downs as a sign of internal violence. IMHO, an attempt for civil conversation is derailed when one lowers themselves by shooting the other person with disgusting word bullets. It seems to me, with all of the junior high school mentality on TV these days, I think we might see harsh words as normal behavior.

I always appreciate your posts because they have always been respectful, in spite of who you might disagree with.

In looking over the mail I gotten this weekend I find that I have to fight with my mothers precription drug plan because they want to charge her more than her meds. cost without help!!!
Also, all of my nieces and nephews are opting out of Obamacare because of the cost. oOn eextended family may not be a microcossim of the larger trends but I know of others who hva similar delimnas. Could it be that the whole system is going to get so complecated and expensive from the complecations that the whole thing is going to implode at some point? This is starting to look like a series of interlocking problems that will need to be addressed further in the 4T.

I really really really had to hold my tongue. Really. Maybe I shouldn't have, but getting into politics on fb is not my thing. Besides, I think you are right; Karma will come back to bite that industry in the ass.
From your lips to god's ears ...

However, as you probably know, hardly a day goes by that we in the healthcare "industry" don't experience a "shortage" of ordinary medications. During the last year our EMS has had to be careful with our dwindling supply of morphine, and other every-day meds. Why? Beats the shit out of me.

And ... one reads that vaccines are in short supply and that if a pandemic were to arrive, that many months would be required to marshall the effort to fight back with a targeted vaccine. Why? Beats the shit out of me.

The wonders of our private corporate pharmaceutical industry, I suppose.

My years spent throwing my body on the altar of science and industry suggest that Karma will never have much impact on any corporation. If they fail, they simply go out of business. Nothing more. The people who worked there get a bad deal, but the upper level managers, boards of directors, etc. all walk away with enough wealth to set up their individual families for many generations to come. So ... one wonders ... whose ass will Karma bite?
" ... a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition."
