Oh, come on. The Democrats will introduce a bill in Congress to keep taxes from going up on people making less than $250k a year. They've already said that. What's more, the Republicans will support that, too -- you think any GOP Congresscritter will want to face his constituents and say, "yes, I voted to raise your taxes, 'cause those danged Democrats wouldn't keep the taxes on the Wall Street banksters from goin' up at the same time"? Heh -- they're not that dumb.

No, taxes in the lower brackets will not go back up.

I haven't seen them tripping over themselves to vote for the tax bracket changes for the past month.

They have some other things on their agenda at the moment and it's not urgent anyway. They will before the tax cuts are scheduled to expire. They'd have to be complete morons not to.

The only debate I've heard on the issue is whether they will allow them to expire for upper bracket earners now or later.

Re: Bush Taxes

One possibility you have not covered is that these tax increases will get lost in an argument over the estate tax. I cannot tell where that will go.

I plan to read the entire thread at some time. Just got done watching Hannity's show on YouTube. Haven't watched the entire documentary. Simply watched Hannity and the two producers of the show and bits and pieces of the documentary that they cut to.

It's not a balanced portrayal of the causes of the crisis. I found it striking that I didn't hear a single female voice throughout the entire experience. I'm not sure what that means, but it struck me.

Not much else to say. Will read the entire thread at some point.

I suspect the Democrats and Liberals would like to avoid "utter financial insanity" as well.. I suspect, however, that they have a somewhat different idea of what that is!

Since the movie is anti-incumbent, and since most incumbents are
Democrats, the movie appears to be anti-Democrat. It'll be interesting
to see how the mood changes if the Republicans gain a majority in
November. All that anti-Democrat anger will start turning into
anti-Republican anger.
I'd be willing to put money on tea partiers not starting a movement to replace Republicans with Democrats (even after electing the "right" Democrats) as they are attempting to replace Democrats with Republicans.

Reason why I voted for both Senator's Webb and Warner...Connolly (D) got to go in November. The House Tea Party Caucus as planned by the GOP will fail miserably since it isn't genuine act. Its obvious the Neo-Cons have no plans to give up power in the GOP ranks, Good riddance. I will vote for the best Conservative candidate, GOP or Democrat.
