If the challenger here were better there would be more cause for alarm. Romney's favorables aren't necessarily cause for celebration. One thing that I notice - it is members of his own party that are saying it's over.
Obama's favorables are not what they could be either. Both candidates have issues with their bases. Sounds about right for a 4T.
It appears Mr. Romney is releasing his Tax Information from 2011.
I'll bet he paid 0%.
He probably didn't even give anything to Charity(greedy-bast*rd!).
Well, have fun.

Well, that just can't be true, can it?
I know. They MUST be lying!
Lies, lies, lies(I mean, c'mon, he's a GOP; That's just what they do).
I, for one, refuse to believe it.

I called Scott Walker a Gauleiter. That was hyperbole. He seemed to respond more reliably to Party Bosses than to public sentiment, a characteristic of an undemocratic order. That is past.
"Tipsy O'Neil"? Flush!Any President has the power to bring public pressure to bear on Congress by using the bully pulpit. Take Reagan for instance. When Congress was stalling his economic measures he went to the airwaves and asked them to write congress...telegrams and letters flooded in and Tipsy ONeil caved....Obama hasnt been able to do this in any way. His "signature" achievement health care has NEVER gotten majority support...it is hated to this day. He is weak and feckless. You stated in another post how honest he is...please....He lied several times in his Univision interview. Claiming Fast and Furious (began in Oct 2009) was started by the Bush admin....LIE!
The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid "dens of crime" (or) even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered... in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by (those) who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern."

Allowed my daughter to play hookie. The two of us drove 20 miles south and attended a rally in Woodbridge, Virginia. I was able to get a great standing place, about 50 feet away. The weather was gorgeous -- 80 degrees and sunny, and I've got the sunburn to prove it.
Now, I can say that I've done it.

What Obama has to say about his "gaffe" -- from the same article referenced above.
He also defended himself against GOP pouncing on his comments Thursday that you cant change Washington from the inside. You can only change it from the outside.
The president began on the offense, in an unsubtle reference to Mr. Romneys estimate that the 47% of people who support Mr. Obama have a victim
mentality.
I dont believe we can get very far with leaders who write off half the nation as a bunch of victims, who think that theyre not interested in taking
responsibility for their own lives, he told a rally of some 11,000 people in Woodbridge, Va. I dont see a lot of victims in this crowd today. I see
hard-working Virginians.
Mr. Obama, seeing an opening, has repeatedly called attention to Mr. Romneys remarks. The Republican nominee has stood by his comments, where he described nearly half the country as beneficiaries of government programs who dont pay income taxes and therefore wouldnt want to support him. He said he had inartfully made the point.
On Thursday, Republicans saw an opening of their own when Mr. Obama made a point he had made before, that Washington had to be changed from the outside, not the inside.
The president of the U.S. says he cant change Washington from the inside. Isnt that amazing? Mr. Romney said in Sarasota, Fla., on Thursday. No wonder hes had such a hard time over the last four years.
Mr. Obama hit back on Friday, mocking his opponent, and sought to explain himself. He said he was trying to say that the way to affect change is to mobilize people who will make their voices heard.
Now, for some reason my opponent got really excited. He rewrote his speech real quick. He stood up at a rally, proudly declared, `Ill get the job done
from the inside. He said. What kind of inside job is he talking about?
He then went on to describe Mr. Romneys agenda in unflattering terms.

Several interesting things about this.
Obviously the key one being he provided a 20 year AVERAGE of his tax rate. Why would he do that instead of just a few recent years of his actual rates? Could it be that more recent years he paid zero taxes? You do know how averaging works?
Some may wonder; I'm not.
Team Romney deciding that it is a good idea to get people talking about the multi-millions this guy racks up while dissing the 47% less-privileged is nothing if not a very clearly sign of their desperation.
As one who use to be on Team Romney -
Another day down toward Nov. 6 and Team Romney is still having to explain himself. I like that.Alex Castellanos, who worked for Mitt Romney in 2008 and continues to be a Republican political consultant, tells Politico's Maggie Haberman that he is not impressed with the optics of Romney's tax dump move:
"At first I thought this was an April Fool's Joke," said Castellanos, who tweeted something to that effect at me earlier. "But it isn't April. I can't imagine that David Axelrod will now say, I'm glad Mitt put this issue behind him. This will drag Mitt's taxes back into the debate. And there's not many days left. I just can't imagine why they would do this. There are 40 days left and you have now made more of them about Mitt's taxes....you don't serve a life sentence and then confess afterward. They've taken their beating on this (already) ... I just don't understand how a (being) 'little pregnant' strategy (works)."
According to Haberman, Castellanos isn't alone. She says other Republican operatives are telling her this partial dump of Romney's past tax returns will only encourage more questions about his past returns.

Its not tax money. The banks have accounts with the Fed so, to lend to a bank, we simply use the computer to mark up the size of the account that they have with the Fed. Its much more akin to printing money. - B.Bernanke

"There have always been people who say: "The war will be over someday." I say there's no guarantee the war will ever be over. Naturally a brief intermission is conceivable. Maybe the war needs a breather, a war can even break its neck, so to speak. But the kings and emperors, not to mention the pope, will always come to its help in adversity. ON the whole, I'd say this war has very little to worry about, it'll live to a ripe old age."
Wow, I didn't know that POC was the nom-de plume of Peewit.
