Welcoming Corena

Corena (Corenabh) is joining the Fourth Turning forums' administrative team. Corena works with Neil Howe at LifeCourse Associates, where she keeps the office running smoothly and helps promote the Strauss-Howe Generational Theory. Like most of you, she’s fascinated with the theory and enjoys thinking about its application to current events and trends. Please welcome her and help her out by reporting any posts that are spam or cross our lines of conduct. Thanks!

Welcome, Corena!
To recommend thrift to the poor is both grotesque and insulting. It is like advising a man who is starving to eat less.

Welcome. You'll have your hands full.

Maybe the war needs a breather, a war can even break its neck, so to speak. But the kings and emperors, not to mention the pope, will always come to its help in adversity. Hi Everyone!

I want to say that it has been fun seeing all the discussions and insights about generations today and generational theory. Thank you all for welcoming me to the Forum. I also want to announce that a few weeks ago Craig handed over the reins of Webmaster to me. I apologize if, during the switch, some communications slipped through the handover.

There have been a few messages and posts wondering about extra or secondary monitors. Right now, there is the Webmaster (currently myself) and the support of active members. However, soon we will probably be putting out a request for volunteers to help monitor the Forum to keep the level of discourse respectful at all times. If you are interested in volunteering, an announcement will be posted within the month.

Also, I will be posting another set of rules/guidelines for the forum in the proposed rules thread. These are very similar to the ones posted before, but they are explained a little more thoroughly. Please feel free to give constructive comments on them. They will eventually be tailored and posted in an area that will be easily accessible from anywhere in the forum. The rules are meant to be a reference of Forum expectations for users and for monitors alike.

I look forward to the ideas and connections that will be discovered here over the coming new year. Happy posting!

Thank you, Corena. I was wondering if something had happened to you.

Do you know what was going on with the site unavailability on Wednesday afternoon and evening (East coast time)?

Yeah, I'm glad to see it wasn't just me, Amy, & Ryen who were having problems.

Been pretty much confirmed that the site was down. No one has indicated yet that they could reach.

Best...
